Our live room is always evolving as we get to know Our live room is always evolving as we get to know it more and more. Lately at the studio we’ve gotten into always tearing down mics and setups after every session (rather than keep, let’s say, drum mics up) to make sure we stay creative and fresh. It’s always important to get out of our comfort zones, try new things, use microphones we might not have considered for a certain job and see what happens. Worst comes to worst you go back to your go-to, but you might discover something new. It forces us to stay sharp, and use our ears. Engineering is about adapting to the situation, getting creative, and rolling with the punches! Sessions are all about keeping the energy going, staying in the music, and having fun… that’s always how we get the best results.
